- how long can a passion last?
this is just like any random post, my thoughts about my passion.
i see quite a number of my friends starting new passion and losing the love for a passion.
and at times it makes me wonder how long will i love this passion of mine and how long will i play this sport?
i see my friends losing the passion, stop coming for training and eventually dropped out from it.
my BFF is one of them. i still remember in secondary school time,how well he played and how enthusiastic he was in this. but now, he stopped playing and lost the passion for it. he told me if you keep doing something you like, somehow someday you will find that you're tired to continue doing what you've been doing as it has all become a routine.
sigh. well i have friends like louis, who's first passion and the passion he loved the most is rugby. he cant have he best of both worlds.and he came to a term that rugby cant feed him but a job can. so he decided to put it down and earn some bucks to feed him. but i know he loves rugby like how i did.
now i start to think back, what really keeps me going and how this passion lasted this long?
hmm i wonder. i dont know why, but each and every time i goes for training,i touches the rug-ball,i could feel the connection between me and the ball. sounds weird isnt it?
but still,i hope this passion will stay for another 20 years? and i hope my children will be playing rugby and me sitting at a corner cheering on them and reminiscing the good old time i've in the field.
like what i've always say,rugby my first and most loved passion and i hope it will never die out.
nonetheless,i hope it will never become a routine for me to attend training for the sake of attending but for the love of it.
